Directions From I-40:
Exit I-40 at the 147-Durham Freeway North exit. Exit Durham Freeway at the North Duke Street exit. Turn Left onto Trinity Avenue. Turn Right on Watts St. and go 3 blocks. George Watts will be on the right.
Directions From I-85:
Exit I-85 at the Gregson Street/Northgate Mall exit. Continue on Gregson Street. Turn right on Dacian Street. |

Information for Prospective Parents |

George Watts Montessori is a magnet school within the Durham Public Schools System. We serve students in grades Pre-K through fifth grade. Students are admitted to our school by a lottery process. The lottery is open for Pre-K through fifth grade students. All students must fill out an application, to be turned in to the Office of Student Assignment.

What is Monday at the Media? |
|
The Media Center will be open again this year, every Monday, 3:30-5:30. This time can be used for checking out library books, using computers or homework help. Please come in! We do ask that a parent or caregiver accompany students during this time. |

What is Open School Night? |
|
Open School Night is a time for families to come in and visit their classroom teacher. During this time you can ask your teacher questions, see a work that your child is doing in the classroom or bring in a visiting family member. Open School Night is every other month, on the second Monday, 6:00-7:00. It rotates with our PTA meetings. Open School Nights this year will be October 12th, December 14th, February 8th and April 12th. We hope to see you! |
