November is Poetry Month!

Poetry month began today with poems being recited over the intercom and a performance by Poetry Alive (www.poetryalive.com). A reading over the intercom will occur everyday, by staff, parents or students. Students will focus on poetry in the classroom this month. We will also recite a school-wide poem daily:

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams

For if dreams die

Life is a broken-winged bird

That cannot fly.

Hold fast to dreams

For when dreams go

Life is a barren field

Frozen with snow.
